The following training requirements apply to all students. Additional requirements apply to school age students.

To participate in karate training, all students.

0. Must observe the dojo etiquette at all times.
0. Must attend class as often as possible.
0. Must be card holding members of IKO Kyokushinkaikan.
0. Must have a dogi with IKO kanji patch.
0. Must have their own shin/instep guards, fist protectors, mouth guard, and groin or breast cups.
0. Must enter into a 3-month renewable contract to pay applicable deposits and dues contributing to the maintenance of the dojo.

All school age students must also:

0. Be 8 years of age or older (exceptions will be made for exceptional students).
0. Maintain good grades (no more than one C in any grading period).
0. Have their own sparring helmet.
