Requirements

We offer:

  • kids classes 6 to 12 years old.
  • Adult classes Age 13 & older.

 

Karate training is a personal reflection of endurance and perseverance. You are training for you and no  one else; to become a better you.

 

 

In Los Angeles, California

To participate in karate training, all students:

  1. Must observe the Dojo Etiquette at all times.
  2. Must attend class as often as possible.
  3. Must be card holding members of IKO KyokushinKaiKan.
  4. Must have a dogi with IKO kanji patch.
  5. Must have their own shin/instep guards, fist protectors, mouth guard, and groin or breast cups.
  6. Fees are dues the 1st of every month, and are late by the 5th.

 

All school age students must also:

  1. Maintain good grades (no more than one C in any grading period).
  2. Have their own sparring helmet.

DOJO KUN (DOJO OATH)
 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, shinshin o renmashi kakki fubatsu no shingi o kiwameru koto.
We will train our hearts and bodies for a firm unshaking spirit.

 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, bu no shinzui o kiwame, ki ni hasshi, kan ni naru koto.

We will pursue the true meaning of the Martial Way, so that in time, our senses may be alert.

 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, shitsujitsu goken 0 mot-te, jiko no seishin o kanyo suru koto.

With true vigor, we will seek to cultivate a spirit of self denial.

 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, reisetsu 0 omoji, chojo o keishi, sobo no furumai o tsutsushimu koto.

We will observe the rules of courtesy, respect our superiors, and refrain from violence.

 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, shinbutsu o totobi, kenjo no bitoku o wasurezaru koto.

We will follow our god (religious principle), and never forget the true virtue of humility.

 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, chisei to tairyoku to o kojo sase, koto ni nozonde ayamatazaru koto.

We will look upwards to wisdom and strength, not seeking other desires.

 

Hitotsu, ware ware wa, shogai no shugyo o karate no michi ni tsuki, Kyokushin no michi o mat-to suru koto.

All our lives, through the discipline of karate, we will seek to fulfill the true meaning of the Kyokushin way.
